Technical Manager

Role:

The role will suit a commercially experienced and motivated IT Technician with a good breadth and depth of knowledge of business IT systems and an interest in security matters.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Have at least 3-4 years experience working within the IT or Cyber security sector.

  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problems solving skills

  • Knowledge of switches, routers and firewall appliances

  • Experience of Microsoft products including Servers/Windows OS/Office 365/Teams/Sharepoint

  • Experience of VMWare and/or HyperV would be advantageous

  • Experience in a team leadership/ management role

  • Experienced in field work.

Main duties:

  • Helpdesk – Administering client’s systems and providing support to their staff

  • Providing 2nd line technical support to other technicians, assisting them with support tickets.

  • Setup, monitoring and remediation of RMM alerts

  • Project work including planning, management, and implementation

  • Product development – testing and comparing potential new solutions

  • Present technical and financial business cases to the business owners

  • Keeping TecSec and client technical documentation up to date

  • Completing day to day work in compliance with IASME, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001

  • Continually improve the technical function of the business

Certifications:

  • Any Microsoft, VMWare, CompTIA or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous

Systems Engineer/ Team Leader:

Role:

We are looking for an experienced IT/ helpdesk Technician with knowledge of business IT systems and an interest in cyber security.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Have 1-2+ years experience working in the IT or Cyber Security sector.

  • Knowledge of switches, routers and firewall appliances

  • Implementation of Project work.

  • Excellent analytical, organisational, time management and problems solving skills

  • Experience of Microsoft products including Servers/Windows OS/Office 365/Teams/Sharepoint

  • Experience of VMWare and/or HyperV would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of mobile technologies such as iOS and Android

  • Experience working as part of a Team.

Main duties:

  • Helpdesk – Offer first- and second-line support to clients of varying technical ability

  • Configure, install, troubleshoot and maintain devices & services both remotely and on site

  • Follow all IT Helpdesk, ISMS and company procedures

  • Administer, maintain and monitor Active Directory, Office 365 and other business systems

  • Keeping TecSec and client technical documentation up to date

  • Completing day to day work in compliance with IASME, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001

Certifications:

  • Any Microsoft, VMWare, CompTIA or equivalent qualifications would be advantageous

Helpdesk/ Support Engineer:

Role:

  • Experience of VMWare and/or HyperV would be beneficial

  • Knowledge of mobile technologies such as iOS and Android
