Q. Do you need to have your own IT support in place? Do you need to have cyber security staff? And how involved is it?
The answer to both of these questions is no you don’t have to have your own IT support, outsourced IT support or even cyber security staff.
The most important, and the most critical thing I would say, is that you have to be committed to the security of your company and making sure that you have put in place what you feel will protect your business.
Cyber Essentials will do that for you.
If you don’t commit to Cyber Essentials, then you aren’t going to achieve it and you’re also not going to be protecting your business.
So, what are the things you need to have in place if it’s not IT?
Well, there is IT of course, but it’s just good basic practice.
