Due to the coronavirus outbreak, the UK was put into a lockdown- forcing many companies to close or enforce home working.

Of course, we can’t predict when the lockdown will be over or when people will start to return to working from the office/ premises.

But we do know it WILL happen, it’s inevitable and will be a reality before we know it.

So, it makes sense to be as prepared for it as you can be (those businesses that were fully prepared for working from home had a much less stressful experience when the lockdown started).

These are the three key areas to consider before returning to your work premises:

People:

Whether you decide to gradually return your workforce, implement semi-permanent or permanent home working or have all staff return on the same day, you must review social distancing measures and make sure that is the safest option for your staff. You need a plan for every scenario.

Hardware and software:

What’s been difficult during lockdown? Has the transition to home working been a simple process or too much of a culture shock?

Has any of the applications, software or hardware staff use caused issues or frustration? If so, what are those frustrations?

Does any of your equipment, applications or software need to be upgraded or changed?

Data:

Now’s the time to check your data security hasn’t been compromised in any way, by all the recent unplanned changes to your setup.

If you need help pulling your “end of lockdown” plan together or making it happen quickly and efficiently, we can help.
