Cyber Crime is targeting more and more businesses each year.  If you Google ‘cyber crime’ you will be faced with some pretty scary statistics. Just this year more than 70,000 customers were affected in a B&Q security breach, billions of files have been misplaced or compromised and over 140 airlines have by affected by a data breach. 202 million Chinese CVs have been stolen and more than one million UiTM student records have been leaked.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, and we are only in May – there’ll be plenty more victims of cyber crime appearing in Google searches this year.

According to the head of cyber and economic crime at the City of London Police, computer hacking is the biggest threat of our time.

Unlike other offences where it’s generally much easier to identify a crime scene, victim and offender, cyber crime is anonymous and can happen from thousands of miles away. This is precisely how hackers manage to strike time and time again, stealing millions in the process, without getting caught.
